What does C9 light mean?
C9 lights are the larger of the two most traditional Christmas light bulb sizes. They have E17 threaded bases that fit into E17 sockets. This size is what is traditionally used for C9 bulbs. That means that if your cords are in great shape, you can use C9 bulbs as replacements.

Should I use C7 or C9 lights on House?
Cord Socket Size – When it comes to the socket base size, you can choose between C7 or C9. For most structural perimeter lighting, C9s are the most commonly used. If lighting displays or small structures, then C7s work well.

Why are half my LED Christmas lights out?
If half a strand is working and the other half is not, you probably have a loose or broken bulb. Start with the first unlit bulb and work your way down, wiggling them to check for looseness. If it flickers, that’s your cue to replace it.
Why do LED Christmas lights stop working?
