If you are a dedicated 4WDriver and often do short weekend trips in your backyard then the VMS is a good choice. If you are more touring orientated (dare I say Grey Nomad) or going away for that annual 4 week trip to say Cape York or the Simpson, then the Hema would be a good choice.

Why do so many people hate X2 VMS?

X2 VMS have lost respect with a number of people after screwing us badly. Basically they changed their platform and left full paying parties with useless shit while they relaunched. I will never buy from them again. HEMA have proven to have a great product for my iPad and of course their traditional maps are great too.
