Are Chase Freedom and Freedom Flex categories the same?
On Sept. 14, 2020, Chase introduced the Chase Freedom Flex℠ to the mix, replacing the existing Chase Freedom®. The Chase Freedom Flex℠ has the same rotating bonus categories but with improved cashback opportunities, such as 5% cash back on travel through Chase Ultimate Rewards® and 3% on dining and drugstore purchases.
Does Chase Freedom Unlimited have 5% categories?
The Chase Freedom Unlimited® does not feature 5% rotating bonus categories. Instead, any purchases you make outside of the card’s fixed, ongoing bonus categories listed above will earn a flat 1.5% cash back.
