In 1931, the Bondurant brothers of Franklin County, Va., run a multipurpose backwoods establishment that hides their true business, bootlegging. Middle brother Forrest (Tom Hardy) is the brain of the operation; older Howard (Jason Clarke) is the brawn, and younger Jack (Shia LaBeouf), the lookout. It’s also very scary because the movie makes you care about the characters – something that not many movies like this can achieve. First a warning – the violence is memorable and shocking. So it’s not for younger audiences. It may be a bit excessive for some adults too.
