The decision was made Tuesday night by pier owner William Major after Seaside Park’s Planning Board voted to approve a master plan revision that limits ride heights to 100 feet. That would rule out the 200- to 300-foot thrill rides that Major said are necessary to make rebuilding the pier economically viable.
