Is Blizzard Beach going to reopen?
March 23 – Blizzard Beach closed for refurbishment back in January 2022 when Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon opened after its refurbishment. From Disney’s official calendar we know Blizzard Beach will remain closed until at least May at the earliest.

Previously scheduled to end in March 2022, the Blizzard Beach refurbishment has been extended on internal calendars until at least May of 2022. Last spring, Disney’s Blizzard Beach was the first of the two Disney water parks to reopen. Now, it looks like the annual refurbishment will be longer than usual.

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Health and Safety Guidelines Masks are not allowed to be worn in the water or on water slides. For Blizzard Beach, masks are required in the restrooms and dressing rooms, shops and any fully indoor locations. All of the dining locations are outdoors so you are not required to wear a mask.

Yes, you are permitted to wear water shoes on most of the the rides at Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. On the very high slides like Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach, you will have to hold your water shoes in your hands while your are on the ride.
Can you bring a cooler to Blizzard Beach?
Coolers are allowed in Blizzard Beach, however no alcoholic beverages or glass containers are to be carried into the water park.
