What is the JDRF one walk?
JDRF One Walk gives people with T1D, their loved ones, companies and the local community the opportunity to create change and positively impact the lives of those living with T1D. With close to 150 JDRF One Walks across the country each year, there’s always an opportunity to get involved.

What is Type 1 Diabetes JDRF?
Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease that occurs when a person’s pancreas stops producing insulin, the hormone that controls blood-sugar levels. T1D develops when the insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells are mistakenly destroyed by the body’s immune system.
How do you start a JDRF Walk?
If you are at least 1 hour or 45 miles away from an existing Walk, you can start a JDRF Community One Walk. These events are led, planned and executed by volunteers who are passionate about raising money for a cure.
