Can you mess up a nose piercing?
A nose piercing can heal and maintain itself well with regular cleanings. However, as with any piercing, there’s always a risk for complications. Infections and scarring are most common with new nose piercings, but they can still occur with healed piercings, too. Piercing rejection is another possibility.
How do you fix a nose piercing that sticks out?
If you find your nostril screw sticking out, or the ends flip down after getting the piercing, give it a week; this will often resolve itself. If the jewelry is still loose and uncomfortable after that time, stop in and see your piercer.

Due to the type of puncture wound a piercing is, it’s important to remove the crust that develops around your earring or on the outside of your piercing. This is because air needs to hit the punctured tissue to properly heal your piercing.
