The black poppy is most commonly associated with the remembrance of black, African, and Caribbean contributions to war efforts dating back to the 16th century. The initiative, titled “Black Poppy Rose”, was launched in 2010 and aims to make the black poppy a nationwide symbol of remembrance.

What can the British Legion do for me?
We provide recovery and rehabilitation support to currently serving and ex-service personnel who are wounded, injured, sick. The same support is also available for those who are experiencing multiple challenges such as being out of work, dealing with mental health problems, financial issues and alcohol abuse.
