Do you need a tune for Fmic STI?
Registered. yes, a fmic will change your MAF scaling and your a/f ratio’s. It definitely needs to be tuned.
Is the STI intercooler better?
Pretty much anything is better than stock The OEM intercooler on the STI is better than the one on the WRX, however, it still has plenty of room for improvement. The factory intercoolers are thin and have lower fin density, and this all translates into a lack of performance.
Is Fmic better than tmic?
Tmic is good for stock location turbos, pretty much all of them. You WILL heat soak much faster the larger you go in the stock location. FMIC is meant for rotated setups that are pushing >400whp and are utilizing a larger turbo to do so.

Our TMIC is over an inch thicker, our finpack is way denser and we split our finpacks 3 times. This allows for way more cooling surface area. What is the difference between this 08+ STi TMIC and the 04-07 STi TMIC that you offer? The 04-07 TMIC is a smaller core and uses different mounting locations. How much hp is this intercooler rated for?
Will the TMIC work on a 15+ WRX?
We have some cutomers running around 550WHP but we typically recommend the TMIC for cars 500WHP and under. Will this work on a 15+ WRX? No, this does not fit the WRX model.
Would you recommend the ETS to anyone?
I would recommend this to everyone and it is very easy to install. I did a lot of research before buying this, comparing mishimoto and process west, but ultimately the ETS had the best reputation.
