Do Sanuk shoes run large or small?
Sanuk Sandals are true to size, but we have had some customers report that these too run an little small, so when in doubt, size up rather than down. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you have about the sizing of specific styles.
Do Sanuk shoes stretch out?
They do stretch! You can buy them smaller and use a shoe stretcher. I got an 8 and they’re a little snug at first. I spray them with warm water to get them damp, put the shoe stretcher in to the appropriate setting, and let them dry overnight.
Are Sanuk shoes comfortable?
With their relaxed styles and comfortable footwear, Sanuk has become a favorite footwear brand for surfing, camping, and just hanging out. We know people who live in Sanuk shoes, and we’re pretty sure they’re onto something.
Are Sanuk shoes good for walking?
You may wonder – are Sanuks comfortable for walking? The yoga sandals definitely are, but I find that they are only good for short distances. Other Sanuk styles are closed toe and more comfortable for longer walks. Not everyone loves Dansko shoes, but I find them to be so comfortable.
How is flip flop size determined?
When buying Flips flip-flops, we recommend buying a half inch size bigger than your heel-to-toe measurements for a more relaxed fit. For a more snug fit, choose the exact measurement. So for a 9.5” heel-to-toe measurement, choose Size 6 for a more snug fit and Size 7 fit.
How do you shrink Sanuks?
Take the canvas shoes out afterward and place them in a well-ventilated area for drying. Do not attempt to dry them with the clothes dryer; the heat can shrink the fabric.
Can you get Sanuk shoes wet?
Most, but not all, of our products can be worn around water. However, please note that suede and leather styles can be damaged by water, so we would recommend avoiding any leather or suede styles to moisture.

Should I size up or down for flip-flops?
Sometimes, it’s better to go one or half a size bigger than your regular shoe size, as during the day your feet may expand, especially during the warmer months or if you’re standing for long periods of time. By sizing up, you’re allowing your feet enough room to expand without your sandals becoming too tight.
