I think that cross-realm trading is limited to BoP items, and only to people that were in the group at the time, and only for 2 hours /played time from looting the item. You can only trade conjured items between realms. Also shared party loot from dungeons I guess. ARGH!

You can trade pets by one person making a new character on whatever server the person that wants it is on, and then caging the pet and trading it.

I think if the realms are connected you can trade cross realm much like how you can join guilds cross realm, but if its simple CRZ there’s no trading. Because connected realms connect the AH and everything it wouldn’t really destroy economy.
Is there a way to get gold through trade?
Unfortunately you can’t really get gold through this because of the cross realm trade limits. I’ve found it handy when I traded a Crimson Whelp for a handful of pets the other week, so its pretty neat to know if you collect and are big on trading.
