Is Air Optix Night and Day discontinued?
The Air Optix Night and Day Aqua soft contact lenses have replaced Focus Night and Day lenses which were discontinued on March 16, 2009. The primary benefit to patients that use the “new and improved” Air Optix Night & Day Aqua lenses is that they offer better comfort than the predecessor lenses (Focus Night & Day).

Are Air Optix Night and Day Monthly?
Alcon’s Air Optix Aqua Night & Day Aqua are monthly contacts lenses which can be worn throughout the day and into the night. Lenses for far-sighted eyes (+) are not available. Alcon’s Air Optix Aqua Night & Day Aqua are FDA approved, 30-day/monthly contact lenses.
What is the difference between CIBA Vision and Alcon?
When Novartis eye care division merged with Ciba Vision the packaging of many of the contact lenses changed to feature the Alcon brand name. When your contact lenses are delivered to you from us they will arrive in a white box with Alcon written on it in blue. The Ciba Vision Brand name no longer exists.
Can I wear Air Optix night and day if I have an Astigmatism?
Important information for AIR OPTIX® AQUA (lotrafilcon B) contact lenses: For daily wear or up to 6 nights extended wear for near/far-sightedness, astigmatism and/or presbyopia. Risk of serious eye problems (i.e., corneal ulcer) is greater for extended wear. In rare cases, loss of vision may result.

This product has been discontinued. Alcon recommends an upgrade to Air Optix plus Hydraglyde for Astigmatism contact lenses that are compatible with your current product. There is no refit required.
