How do you park at the arboretum?
Parking is free 364 days of the year (we are closed December 25). The Arboretum has two parking lots. Our main lot is adjacent to the entrance of the garden. Our second lot is located south of the front lawn and is known as the south lot.

What is the difference between Gate 1 and 4 at the Dallas Arboretum?
Gate 4 you park across the street in a parking garage and walk across in an underground tunnel to get closer to the children’s area. Gate 1 has parking on/ next to the arboretum and the entrance is by restrooms/gift shop/food outlook.
Where do you park for the National Arboretum?
Admission and parking are free at the National Arboretum! Please park in the multiple marked lots available throughout the Arboretum — please refrain from parking on the side of the road and in the grass.
Can you bring water bottles into the Dallas Arboretum?
The Dallas Arboretum invites guests to bring in their own coolers, food and drink, including beverages for adults and children, to craft the right picnic experience for their tastes and needs.
What should I wear to the Arboretum?
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. The Arboretum is 66 acres, including the 8-acre Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden. Don’t forget a hat and sunscreen. Costumes are encouraged for children ages 12 and under or as a family unit with a unified theme.

Parking for Holiday at the Arboretum at night is included with night time admission. Please do not purchase separate parking. Due to limited parking at Gate 2 and in the interest of safety, all concert parking is limited to the main lot at Gate 1 and the Parking Garage.
Do Dallas Arboretum members get discounts at Rory Meyers children’s Adventure Garden?
This policy does not apply to the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden, the Cool Thursdays Concert Series or Parking. Dallas Arboretum Members enjoy special discount offers from our participating merchant partners.
Does the Dallas Arboretum offer scholarships or scholarships?
The Dallas Arboretum is committed to making educational opportunities accessible for all students. Field trip scholarships of up to 50% discount and $100 bus stipends are available while funds last. Title I schools can complete a field trip assistance form online to submit with their reservation request.
