What is the community culture and the environment guide?
It is designed to provide leaders in the environmental field a means for better understanding community values and processes as they relate to environmental issues, thus resulting in more effective partnerships and approaches to solving environmental problems.

Prior to the RMA, the management of resources was fragmented between agencies. When the RMA was enacted 78 statutes and regulations were revoked. Integrated management of these areas is sought to be achieved via a hierarchy of policies and plans prepared at the national, regional and district levels.
