As of June 10, 2020, support for Sculptris has now been discontinued. Pixologic has now released the ZBrushCoreMini application. This newest member of the ZBrush family is a free digital sculpting solution with a streamlined interface designed to be incredibly easy for users of all ages and skill levels to learn.
What is Sculptris used for?
Sculptris is free 3D modelling software that can be used to create “organic” models. Conceptually, creating a model in Sculptris is similar to creating a clay model by hand.
Is Sculptris good?
Sculptris is a free and easy to use software. If you need to create a prototype, and don’t need to have a highly detailed project, it will do the job quite perfectly. And, if you don’t really have previous 3D modeling experience, Sculptris is a good and intuitive way to learn.

Is ZBrush free?
If you are completely new to 3D and want to see if digital sculpting is for you, or just want to mess around, this is a great way to start. And it’s completely free for non-commercial use!
Can you 3D print from Sculptris?
Despite still (and maybe forever) in alpha, Sculptris is an excellent tool for sculpting. It’s both powerful and easy to use, but not particularly suited for 3D printing. Sculptris works best when modelling from scratch, as working with imported models can be a bit of a hassle.

How do you animate wings in 3D?
The only thing closest to “animation” in Wings3d you can do is rotate the camera around the object (turntable) and use a 3rd capture software for record the screen. Please don’t waste your time on OpenFX and K-3D. Get Blender. It’s the only thing that’s free and can actually animate.
