Who designed the new guide uniform?
The range was designed by five fashion students at Arts University Bournemouth following a year-long consultation. Chief Guide Gill Slocombe said she was “thrilled” with the “fresh, young and versatile” designs.

How Much Does It Cost? Brownie membership costs an initial membership fee of £8.50. There is also a subscription of £8.50 per term, which covers our expenses (eg hall rent, craft material, Brownie books and badges).

Can you iron on Girl Guide badges?
It’s around the same price as fabric glue and comes in a roll that can be cut or ripped into strips. Cover it with a damp tea towel and use a hot iron on a steam setting to attach the badge to the fabric. Make sure to get help from an adult to do this!
Are Rainbow Brownies free?
Girlguiding charges membership fees to cover the costs of regular meetings and running our charity. There are sometimes extra charges for special activities, camps and events. Our membership fees are called subscriptions, or subs.
