A: FordPass is an ‘App’ that customers can download onto their smart phones. FordPass Connect is a modem that is embedded within a Ford vehicle to connect that vehicle to the internet and provide the customer with new functionality such as Live Traffic information, and Wi-Fi Hotspot.

How much does Ford Sync cost?
The Capabilities of the Ford Sync Connect The advantage of Ford Sync Connect is that it comes at no additional cost because it goes through your phone. Like with some of the other telematics systems, you will need to subscribe to the service, and the cost can be as much as $200 per year.
What is sync3?
SYNC 3 is the name Ford gives to its third generation infotainment system, referring collectively to the touchscreen, software and ancillary elements that combine to offer drivers access to a range of features from climate control to audio streaming, smartphone connectivity and in-car navigation.
How much does sync 3 cost?
To update SYNC 3, does not cost anything to download. You will need an active SYNC Owner account. If you do not have one, you can sign up or register here. You will need your VIN number for this.
