Is Vesper totem any good?
From a Resto point of view, Vesper Totem generally feels like a waste of a global. It’s an ok way to buffer some additional healing during a kick lockout, but the actual throughput is pretty lackluster. Also, it having a small AoE radius around the totem makes it very hard to always get value out of.
How does Vesper totem work?
Vesper Totem is a ground-targeted cooldown ability that places a totem at the designated area. When you cast a damage ability the totem radiates AoE damage to 6 enemies near the totem, and similarly when you cast a healing ability the totem radiates AoE healing to 6 allies near the totem.
Is Iqd good for resto shaman?
It’s good for the other specs from the sims I’ve seen; pretty good for Resto though there are better dungeon trinkets I think. Make sure you can ‘game’ it a bit to avoid some of the other outcomes if you want the stat buff (which won’t always be crit).
Should Resto shamans use shields?
For PvE it doesn’t matter, just go with whatever is the highest ilvl. For PvE, it doesn’t matter. I prefer staffs because you only have to worry about one item slot dropping for you instead of two and I can transmog my Sulfuras with a staff. In PvP the shield will give you a slight edge.

This would could be a good alternative to just buffing its throughput. This wouldn’t be a huge buff for PvP as the totem has only 5 hp.
