Where can I study in Bobst Library?
Bobst Library has many reservable group study rooms, located on Lower Levels 1 & 2, and Floor 7. The Floor 7 rooms are the Bobst collaborative media rooms.
Who can enter Bobst Library?
NYU alumni, neighborhood residents, and members of the public can gain access to Bobst Library by making a 100% tax-deductible gift to join Friends of Bobst Library.
Is NYU Bobst open to the public?
Bobst, Dibner, and Jack Brause Libraries are open. IFA and ISAW library spaces are open to their students only. Courant is closed. No visitors will be granted access to library buildings at this time.
Do NYU alumni have access to Bobst?
NYU Alumni are granted one visit to Bobst Library, per year, upon presentation of a NYU Alumni card and photo ID. For extended on-site access, alumni may join the Friends of Bobst Library program at a reduced rate.
Does Bobst have computers?
Bobst. All floors of Bobst Library have Internet-connected computers; most are located in the Floor 1 Reference Center and the Floor 5 Research Commons. Lower Levels 1 & 2 (LL1 & LL2), Floors 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 have additional productivity software on both Mac and PC computers.

Can non NYU students use the library?
Currently, access to the library buildings and services is limited to current NYU community members and NYU Consortium members students and faculty following all University Health Guidelines.
Can NYU students use Columbia library?
Graduate and undergraduate students, full-time faculty and staff from NYU may access the libraries at Columbia, Barnard, Union Theological Seminary, Jewish Theological Seminary, and Teachers College upon display of a currently valid ID card.

LL1 (Lower Level 1) — Tis the more social of the LL’s, considering it houses the library’s most valued possession: the vending machines. Mid-night snacks and late-night chats are what this floor is all about. LL2 — This is where Asian NYU students are regularly caught sleeping.
Can new school students use NYU library?
NYU Consortium and Affiliated Libraries NYU students and faculty have access and borrowing privileges at a number of affiliated and consortium libraries, including The New School, Cooper Union and New York School of Interior Design.
