How do you get around Papagayo Costa Rica?
Costa Rica’s excellent public bus system goes as far as Playa Panama, just five minutes south of Papagayo. Buses depart San Jose once daily (3:30 p.m.), and the six-hour ride costs about $9.50. Buses from Liberia depart every two hours beginning at 4:00 a.m., and the one-hour trip costs less than $1.30.
