Is JB4 hard to install?
The JB4 is very easy to install, for a basic install you can do OBDII and TMAP sensors in 15-20 minutes. The JB4 removes without a trace when needed and provides a lot of options not possible via flash only. It’s a tuning tool so you can also use it with a flash map.
How long does it take to install JB4?
With the JB4 you plug it into sensors in the engine bay, usually taking 20 to 30 minutes the first time as you learn where each sensor is for your specific model. Once you’ve installed it once, most JB4 systems can be fully removed in less than 10 minutes.
Is JB4 a good tune?
I think the JB4 is a great tune for what it was put out there to accomplish. Before tuners were able to unlock the DME on our cars, it was definitely ahead of its time, and it continues to be relevant today. Adjustments on the fly – Flash tunes cannot change maps without cutting the car off and reflashing.
How much HP does JB4 add?
In short: yes. A general rule of thumb is 10hp for every 1 psi of boost added.

How safe is a JB4?
The JB4 is a relatively safe tuning system with extra systems built in to help prevent the ugliest outcomes, but it’s important to always keep in mind, more boost, more power, more risks. So always choose your performance map accordingly.
Does JB4 void warranty BMW?
The JB+ or JB4 does not void your warranty. However if there is a failure or a part that could be attributed to the aftermarket device, that warranty claim could well be denied.
What does the JB4 plug into?
The REV3 mounts next to the JB4 in the engine bay eliminating the need to run a BMS DATA cable inside the cabin. It’s compatible with all JB4 products. Just plug it in to the JB4 where your BMS DATA cable connects, purchase the JB4 Mobile app (see below), and you’re off and running.
