Is the Schiit stack still good?
The Schiit stack is the best stack currently in the market in relation to the price. There can be cheaper components that you can purchase, but they are not a stack, in the sense of this uniform perpendicular landscape. Likewise, there are superior audio stacks, but they cost many times more.
Can I leave my Schiit stack on?
For the tube amps it is not recommended to leave them on for prolonged periods. It is usually recommended to turn them off and let them cool for 30-60 min every 6-8 hours or so. You don’t ever need to unplug the amp or DAC unless you are moving them or switching equipment.

What is the difference between single-ended and balanced?
The Balanced option will offer more power and control of the headphones in comparison to the single-ended output. A true Balanced amplifier will be balanced from input all the way through to the output. Opamp splitters are often used to convert the input and output from single ended to balanced.
What is a DAC vs AMP?
An amp, or amplifier, strengthens the signal from your source to listening device by giving it more power. A DAC converts digital signals to analog signals. Both devices, when used together, improve sound-quality and listening experience with headphones, IEMs, and speakers.
Does Schiit Modi come with USB?
Miscellaneous: Modi 3E ships with a USB to Micro USB cable and a universal 5V USB wall adapter, Modi Multibit ships only with a 16VAC wall-wart (no cables)
Can you leave your DAC on all the time?
ShawnC. My DAC is always on, as recommend by the manufacture (Bel Canto), draws little power when not in use. I leave the PC on all the time so I can stream music to my phone at work or when out and about.
