Vaughn
talks about 'Stardust' and Michelle in
Uk. September
29, 2007
TimesOnline
publishes an interview with Matthew
Vaughn, director of Stardust,
"Stardust is
a fairytale like no other"
with the reason of the premiere of the
movie in United Kingdom:
“Which is
funny, because some of the criticisms
we’ve had, especially in Hollywood,
are that we need a bit more pace: bang,
bang, bang. And if we’d decided
to get rid of the love story between Tristan
and the fallen star, we could have turned
it into a 90-minute action adventure.
But I wanted to be a bit more whimsical.”
Vaughn admits it was “a
mindf***” once De
Niro became
involved, calling him at weekends to go
through the script. “Every weekend,
with me playing all the roles,”
he recalls. “I’m
not an actor so it was slightly embarrassing
at first, but then I got into it.”
And he brazened it out, too, with co-star
Michelle Pfeiffer,
an actress not best known for her sympathetic
ways. “I wanted
Michelle because she’s such an iconic
beauty,” he explains, “so
it would be a shock to see her fall apart.
And she still looks so amazingly beautiful
that you could believe her wanting to
rip someone’s heart out to maintain
her youth, as Lamia does.”
“What I’m
most proud of with Stardust,”
he says, “is
that, although it’s a big-budget
Hollywood film, it’s kept all the
film-making qualities that are important
to us over here. Normally, the bigger
you get, those widgets start taking over
very quickly.”
'Stardust'
Premiere in London with Michelle Pfeiffer. September
27, 2007
This October,
Stardust
movie finally arrives to Europe, and the
first place where it's scheduled to disembark
will be UK.
Althought the movie will be general release
from 19 October, we have know that the
great Premiere of Stardust
will take place at the Odeon
Leicester Square in London on 3
October. It's scheduled that the film's
stars, including our Michelle
Pfeiffer (!!), Sienna
Miller, Robert
De Niro, Ricky
Gervais, Claire
Danes, Sir
Ian McKellen and Rupert
Everett will attend the big event.
Besides also it is scheduled the boyband
Take That,
who has composed the song of the movie
(and which will be released on 22 October),
to attend the premiere. I'm sure it's
is calle to be the great event of the
month.
On the other hand, I'd like remember
you that some time ago, we reported about
the visit of Michelle
Pfeiffer to Europe to promote the
movie. At that moment we have been reported
that Michelle will be at least on 'Friday
Night With Jonathan Ross', the
most popular chat show in the UK which
airs on BBC One on 4 October.
At the moment it is the only information
we have got, also I was reported yesterday
that Michelle won't visit Spain during
the promotion, I don't know about Paris
or any European city else. Maybe, since
the movie is a co-production between USA
and UK, the promotion events will be exclusively
for these two countries.

The Festival has already named Hairspray's

'I
Could Never Be Your Woman' on the top
in Brazil. September
26, 2007
The
expectated (in USA) I
Could Never Be Your Woman movie
was launched the past weekend (21-23 Sept)
in 90 screens in Brazil. Well, the movie
— titled there "Nunca
é Tarde Para Amar"—
tops the brazilian box office with $300.000
in its open weekend. It's been the most
watched movie in the weekend there displacing
I Now Pronounce
You Chuck and Larry (with 143 screens)
which has been on the top during three
weeks.
Let's remember that the first place where
the movie was released was Spain getting
here the second place of the box-office
in its opening weekend. Even 5 weeks later
since the launch, the movie kept in the
Top Ten still.
We all know the problems to launch this
movie in USA. I hope that these triumphs
show that the movie can become very capable
there. I know that movie won't be nominated
to the Academy Awards, I'm sure!! but
I watched it and I think it is one of
the funniest movies of Michelle
Pfeiffer... if movies such I
Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry
gets the top in USA, why ICNBYW couldn't?
Please, no fear to launch it!... have
you read Bauer Martinez?
Thanks Leandro
for the info

Take
That's 'Rule the World' video is launched. September
25, 2007
We reported
some days ago about the premiere of 'Rule
of the World', the song composed
by Take That
for the end credits of Stardust
movie, well, now the English boyband have
launched the music video.
The video features the boys singing what
it could look like a rehearsal of the
song in a garage-junk-room blended with
footage of the movie. And of course Michelle
Pfeiffe is into besides Robert
De Niro, Charlie
Cox, Claire
Danes and Sienna
Miller.
In my oppinion, a cute video for a cute
song. Personally I don't sure wheter the
sond could be considerated for the Academy
Awards, maybe it do... anyway,
we should wait...
While, you can already see the video
here, I hope you like it!
Michelle
on cover: Vanity Fair Italian edition. September
19, 2007
Michelle
Pfeiffer on cover again. The actress
will be the cover of Vanity
Fair Italian edition (weekly) the
next issue, 27th of September. It coincides
with the release of Stardust
in Europe —the movie will be launched
in Italia the 12th of October.
The magazine shows one of the pics of
the photoshoots session by Satoshi
Saikusa for InStyle
(USA — August 2006). So I guess
the rest of pics inside should be of the
same collection.
Anyway, it's nice having Michelle on
Cover.
'Stardust'
song to be premiered this month. September
18, 2007
Such
we reported some time ago, Take
That composed the end credits song
of Stardust
movie 'Rule The
World'. Now the boyband are planning
to premiere the new single at the National
Movie Awards on September 28 in
UK. The group will perform the track for
the first time at the ceremony held at
the Royal Festival Hall, which will be
broadcast on ITV1 a day later.
A spokesperson for the group told The
Sun: "The band
are really excited because they have never
played in front of an audience like that
before." The tune is scheduled
for a full release on October 22.
Bookmakers William
Hill reportedly already have the
track down as favourite to win the Best
Original Song gong at next year's Oscars.
Michelle
& David in The 59th Primetime EMMY
Awards September
17, 2007
It
is being a great year for pfans! Seeing
Michelle Pfeiffer
on the red carpet is really a honor for
us.
Yesterday afternoon Michelle and husband
David E Kelly
attended the 59th
Primetime Emmy Awards at the Shrine
Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. We were
able to see Michelle on the red carpet
arriving to the ceremony and during the
show, being all happy for James
Spader's Lead Actor win.
Boston Legal
series created and produced by David
E Kelly was also nominated for
other six categories, among them best
Drama Series, Supporting Actor in a Drama
Series: William
Shatner, Guest Actor in a Drama
Series: Christian
Clemenson, Director for a Drama
Series: Bill D'Elia
and Sound Mixing.
For this event, Michelle
Pfeiffer was one of the few ladies
in a short dress on the red carpet. She
chose a sexy soft waves and her hot sequined
Pamela Dennis
number.
Thanks a lot Jackie
and Bond
for providing us the info.
'I
Could Never Be Your Woman' in Brazil and
Turkey September
17, 2007
I
Could Never Be Your Woman movie,
the everlasting story without release
in USA and which goes onthe way to be
the greatest hit in "downloads"
on the net, lets be watched little by
little around the world.
Such as we reported some days ago, the
movie is ready to be released in Brazil,
it will be the 21st of September and now,
according our pfriend Leo
(from Brazil) reports us, the distribution
company there, California
Filmes, has launched a very cute
website dedicated to the film... yeah!
a beautiful site with nice Wallpapers
to download, Emoticons,
new pictures and promotions. You
can access to see clicking
on the image below:
And the other hand, also Selina
Kyle, webmistress of Michelle
Unmasked site, provided us new pics
of the movie besides the poster, a version
for Turkey, where the film will be released
the upcoming October 19. A big step for
this movie which is waiting release in
USA still.
"Hairspray"
& Michelle Pfeiffer in Spanish press September
14, 2007
Hairspray
movie is released today in Spain. With
the occasion of this launch, Spanish press,
daily newspapers and supplement magazines
of entertainment for the weekend have
published articles, previews and reviews
about the movie.
But the main star of the weekend has
been Michelle Pfeiffer,
the most of them have published interviews
with the actress which i guess they were
made during the promotion of the movie
in USA. Some of them are really interesting,
I think the best one have been one in
El Periódico
de Catalunya; also in Metropolis
(El Mundo's supplement magazine) and Madrid360
(ABC's supplement) you can find nice interviews.
On the other hand, the review hasn't
been as good as in USA. All the coincide
with the movie is a great musical... but
just that... a musical with no more aspirations.
Thay have said the film is too weak. Athought
also they say that Michelle is perfect
in her role: "Only
Michelle Pfeiffer relishes her part with
infectious pleasure and she gets that
her performance remains into the most
lasting thing of a generous show"
(El
Pais).
You can read (if you know Spanish)
al these articles in Magazines section,
where I've scanned and trancripted all
them. Click the image to access.

Great
promotion CaMpaign of 'hairspray' in Spain September
12, 2007
This
Friday, September 14, Hairspray
will be launched in Spain and TriPictures,
distributor of the movie in the country,
has started a great campaign of promotion
of the movie.
Yesterday Madrid got up wallpapered of
posters of Michelle
Pfeiffer in Hairspray. Now they
have printed a new version of the character
posters, I've seen just two different
styles of the movie here: one John
Travolta with Nikki
Blonsky and another with Michelle
with Zac Effron.
These four actors are being the appeal
for the promotion in Spain.
Let's remember, i've always said (seeing
polls, reviews and box-office), that Michelle
is pretty loved here, and this promotion
shows it is true, using her as main bait
for the audience.
On the other hand, two Spanish channels
of television will broadcast two programs
"Making Of" Hairspray. They
are Antena3tv
on Friday night, and Tele5
on Saturday night too. So I'll try to
get them!

'I
Could Never Be Your Woman' on the net
and new release dates September
4, 2007
Such
we have reported lately, it seems that
'I
Could Never Be Your Woman',
the great forgotten upcoming movie of
Michelle Pfeiffer,
will be released finally in USA the next
November 9th
of the current year...
Well, now so much change of release dates
has done that the film has been upload
on the net to download via torrents, emule
or simply to watch it in the explorer.
Tons of sites dedicated to download the
latest movies offer the chance to do with
ICNBYW,
in English and Spanish.
It has been ripped from the Spanish dvd
of the movie, launched for rent the past
falling August in Spain (remember the
film was released in the first time here
the past May 11, 2007 and it will be for
sale -I guess- in three months) and pfans
and non-pfans finally have been able to
watch the movie.
So
when the movie is finally launched...
Who will go to watch the movie? Maybe
it will be one of the reasons of a flop
for this movie, which some people had
descrived of a possible hit on the box-office.
On the other hand, other countries have
delayed the release of the movie, Brazil
where it went to be released this September
14, now it will be a week later, the 21th;
and in Taiwan, thought for October of
the current year, has been changed to
March of the next year, 2008!!
Really I don't know if so much change
of date is good for the movie while many
people have got to watch!!
