MichellE could be directed by Juan
josÉ Campanella
June 4, 2006
Fotogramas,
the most important cinema magazine
in Spain, has published this month,
June 2006, into DVD
- TvSeries section, on an
article referred to the dvd edition
of Vientos de Agua (Winds of Water)
an Hispanic-Argentinian super-production
by episodes aired on Tele5 (Spanish
channel) and directed by the Argentinian
Juan José Campanella, a little
interview to the director where
he tells:
"Acabo
de rodar episodios de Ley y Orden:
Unidad de Víctimas Especiales
y vine a Los Ángeles para
rodar House, una miniserie para
la TNT, y una película con
Michelle Pfeiffer. ¡Adiós
a my sueño de tomarme un
año libre!",
translated it would be: "I've
just filmed some episodes of Law
& Order: Special Victims Unit
and I came to Los Angeles to film
House, a Tv series for TNT channel,
and a movie with Michelle Pfeiffer.
Bye for my dream about take a free
year!"
Well, I don't know when the interview
was made, but it has gone out this
month, so I guess it can't be too
old.
Let's remember that on November
2004 Variety
published that Juan
José Campenella was
on board to direct She's
Gone which had to be procuced
by Disney-based
production company Beacon
with a script penned by Beacon
chairman and CEO Armyan
Bernstein.
Well, now thinking... Pfeiffer
has already done a romantic-comedy
-she was looking for a good one-
I
could Never Be Your Woman.
So we don't know if Campanella
goes on interested on it or it would
be another new project. I've always
thought the director gets in his
movies a perfect mixture between
drama and comedy, so I wouldn't
surprised if Campanella
directed Chasing
Montana, the long-announced
project which is now listed for
be realized in 2008 by IMDb.
On the other hand if the Campanella's
project is on, I guess that the
participation of Michelle on Hairspray
musical-movie-project will must
be off. I have to admit I'd love
to see to Pfeiffer
on a new musical -althogh I know
that her part, Velma
Von Tussle, doesn't sing
or dance- but on the other hand
also I know that Campanella
could get one of the best performances
of Michelle in a movie... so I prefer
to wait before doing conjectures
about a little buzz.
About Juan
José Campanella, he
is one of the most important directors
in Argentina. He has managed to
touch to all the world with his
movies, with easy stories, told
with street language and supported
by great Argentinian actors like
Ricardo Darín
or Héctor
Alterio. Two of them are
El hijo
de la novia (Son
of the Bride) in 2001 and
El mismo
amor, la misma lluvia (Same
Love, Same Rain) in 1999.
Even the first of them was nominated
for Best Foreign-Language Film on
the Academy
Awards in 2001 and in addition
his movies have been awarded in
several festivals. |

A new change of release for "I
Could Never Be Your Woman"
May 18, 2006
I
Could Never Be Your Woman
has a new release date, if before
it was sheduled for June 28, now
it is September
8, 2006.
The movie has already been changed
of date several times. I hope it's
good for the film although we have
to wait a little more to watch it.
I guess that all this changes owe
to get a topper performance of the
movie, perhaps producers and distributors
are considerating the film quality
to have the chance to be nominated
to several awards. Lets remember
that the best films use be released
on that dates, falling the year.
It this release-date is definitive,
I
Could Never Be Your Woman
will have to compete with other
movies at the Box-office:
- The
Covenant, the horror-thriller
by Renny Harlim
with Sebastian
Shan, Steven
Strait and Toby
Hemingway.
- Hollywoodland,
another mistery-thriller by Allen
Coulter with Adrien
Brody, Ben
Affleck, Diane
Lane and Bob
Hoskins.
- Pathfinder,
and accion and adventure movie by
Marcus Nispel
with Karl
Urban, Moon
Bloodgood and Russell
Means.
- Brooklyn
Rules, a drama by Michael
Corrente with Alec
Baldwin, Freddie
Prinze Jr, Scott
Caan, Jerry
Ferrara and Mira
Sorvino, and what will be
a limited relase.
- Trust
The Man, a romantic comedy
by Bart Freundlich
with Julianne
Moore, David
Duchovny, Billy
Crudup, Maggie
Gyllenhaal, Eva
Mendes and Ellen
Barkin, released in a limited
way on August 18, and in wide release
on September 8.
Apparently, only Hollywoodland,
Brooklyn
Rules and Trust
The Man get great known stars,
and presonaly I prefer this release
date. So we have to wait...

Michelle Pfeiffer As Velma Von Tussle?.
May 14, 2006
Falling
March we talked about the possibility
that Michelle
Pfeiffer came back to sing
in a movie, we referred to the new
project that New
Line Cinema is developing,
a new version of the musical Hairspray
with John
Travolta as Edna
Turnblad and Queen
Latifah as Motormouth
Maybelle.
In that time, Travolta
reported he hoped maybe a few famous
friends could be on the movie, like
Billy Crystal
and Michelle
Pfeiffer.
Now,
although it isn't an official announcement
yet, IMdB
publishes that Michelle is on the
cast as Velma
Von Tussle, and in addition
also Rowan
Atkinson is on the credits.
Although at the moment only Travolta
and Latifah
are attached to the project.
IMdB source isn't always reliable,
we must remember the site has got
wrong some times, so we had to wait
until it is official. Anyway the
project could be great, seeing Michelle
Pfeiffer singing and dancing
on a movie again. |

ExtraTv announces the retuRn of
Michelle Pfeiffer.
April 28, 2006
Coinciding with a day before the
48th birthday of Michelle
Pfeiffer, ExtraTv
released a video announcing the
Michelle's back.
It titles "Pfeiffer
Returns to Big Screen"
and reports: Acting was her home
away from home before she took a
sabbatical from the crazed acting
biz to focus on her family. But
Michelle Pfeiffer
and doting husband, David
E. Kelley, couldn't be more
excited about her big return to
the big screen after a 4-year break!
See who the stunning Pfeiffer is
getting hot and heavy with in "I
Could Never be Your Woman,"
set for a summer release.
To see the video you can click
here. The images show several
times on the filming set of "...Woman".
The clip is pretty funny and really
it made me laugh. I think it's going
to make much expectation before
the movie release.
On the other hand the premiere
has been moved to July 28, 2006.
At first the relese was sheduled
for September 15, then on March
it was changed to July 29. It could
mean that the movie is being considerated
to be a blockbuster for the next
summer. We'll have to wait to see
what's happen. As I've said before,
maybe the movie is doing pretty
expectations. Also we already have
the release dates for Netherlands
-on August 31-, Spain -September
29- and Belgium -November 15-.

Michelle Pfeiffer already On Scotland.
April 24, 2006
The
Sunday Mail from yesterday
April 23 tells on an article titled
"Michelle's so in love":
Michelle Pfeiffer
has fallen for Scotland just a day
into filming her latest blockbuster.
The blonde, 47, started shooting
fantasy flick Stardust
in Kinlochewe, Wester Ross, yesterday.
But wet weather forced her back
into her trailer.
Michelle said: "I
just love the Highlands even though
you get all the seasons in one day."
The movie, which will also shoot
in Skye this week, co-stars Robert
De Niro and Sienna
Miller.
On the other hand, the digital
photo agency FilmMagic.com,
who has exclusive coverage of the
Stardust filming, has published
the pics of Michelle on the set
on the Isle of Skye today. The pictures
size is very small, so that you
can get an idea click

Matt Damon interested on Michelle
Pfeiffer.
April 1, 2006
According
CyclingNews.com
the heavily-rumoured casting of
Hollywood heart-throb Matt
Damon as Lance
Armstrong in the forthcoming
biopic about the seven time Tour
de France winner has come to nothing
after the 35 year old decided to
dramatically quit the project in
favour of another screen role.
Damon, star of hit movies such
as Ocean's
Eleven, the Bourne
Identity and Saving
Private Ryan, was long considered
the prime choice of Armstrong.
Indeed Armstrong's dramatic recovery
from a near-fatal illness seemed
both the ideal Hollywood plot and
a perfect vehicle for Damon's talents.
Although the two look nothing alike,
the movie star was reportedly in
heavy training for the role, going
on long bike rides with Armstrong
in a bid to lose weight, gain fitness
and build the technical skill to
convincingly portray the multiple
Tour champ on screen.
"Man,
I'm even shaving my legs,"
Damon reportedly said in an as-yet
unpublished interview with celebrity
reporter April
Fibbs.
Details are still sketchy about
what happened to his involvement
with the project, but according
to the unrivalled journal of record,
National Enquirer, Damon and Armstrong
failed to see eye to eye in a number
of areas. These rumours include
reports that Damon insisted that
Michelle Pfeiffer
play Armstrong's mother, he demanded
that Jessica
Alba play Armstrong's former
wife Kristin, and he expressed a
strong preference for the casting
of Vanessa
Paradis as Sheryl Crow, despite
the fact that the singer is not
actually French. |
